Settings

Project settings, your template library, image services and default colours.

Settings has two tabs.

Project Settings

This project's own settings: where its file is, whether it's told in the first person, whether it's a novel or a screenplay, its target length and lines per page, its story beats, and which types of element it uses.

General Settings

Preferences for every project:

• Templates — your template library: edit, duplicate or delete templates, or reset Character and Setting. See World.
• Image services — connect or disconnect your own image-service account. See Images.
• Default colours — give each letter A–Z a colour, and new characters and settings take theirs from the first letter of their name: characters brighter, settings softer, each further name a slightly shifted shade. It's made for writers with grapheme–colour synaesthesia, whose cast then matches how the names already look to them. Colours you've picked by hand are never changed, unless you choose Recolor this project.
